The January-May term is the second for the three-term Lasallian academic year. Because of the long Filipino Christmas break, however, it almost feels like the start of the new academic year. Especially for this particular term, when the eruption of the Taal Volcano delayed the start of classes by two days.
So, today, at long last, I came back to school for the start of classes.
I wouldn't say that I am excited; I must say, though, that the long, rejuvenating break gave me time to prepare myself for this particular term. I am more physically, mentally, and emotionally ready to go to work, compared to the previous terms when I was still learning the ropes.
And I was really blessed with some good news that came my way right before the term started! The conference-paper articles of Mich, Cams, and Nessa got published, and, shortly after, Nessa's journal article also got accepted for publication. Jude proudly represented the team in an international conference in Tokyo, and even won the Best Presentation Award for his session! I am thankful for all the blessings I received. 😊
The start of each term, and especially the second term such as this one, is another opportunity to do better and be better. I am looking forward to a fruitful and productive term. 😊
