2018.11.05. Chillin'

(Now: Chillin')

When I write scientific papers, I need to be in a very conducive environment. I need to be chillin’.

So I took these past few days to relax and chill to be able to write a paper. I first went up to Antipolo yesterday and visited the Robinsons Place.

At the entrance to the Robinsons Place Antipolo.

Since I needed to write a paper, I went to a coffee shop (don’t we all?). I did not need internet connectivity to reorganize the paper and write a few additional paragraphs. But I needed food. And the (still) Halloween-inspired cake did not disappoint.

Fuel for work.

After what I didn’t realize was three hours, I left the mall to go to Marikina. My adopted home city is a new foodie destination, and one of the places I frequent is the Fat Cousins branch in Barangay Parang. Apart from the good and affordable food, the place is very nice and Instagram worthy.

The walls of the Fat Cousins branch is Instagram worthy.

Still not satisfied about my progress, I arranged for a meeting with my team the following day. We worked together and bonded. You can tell that we were serious.

Game face on!

And the view did not disappoint, either.

A very nice sunset view of the metro.

In the end, I still did not finish the paper. 😜

But the relaxation and down time proved to be useful for getting me into the groove of things. I think I am still on track to finish the paper soon. ■
